Delivery & Installation

All Timberglo saunas are delivered fully assembled — not as kits.

We use a skid steer for placement, so clear access to the installation area is required. Our team will handle the setup to ensure your sauna is properly positioned and ready to use. If this is not possible at your location, please add VIP set up at checkout and we will build your sauna on site. 

Foundation Requirements

A proper foundation must be prepared before delivery.

Accepted foundation types include:

  • Concrete pad
  • Patio stones
  • Gravel base (level and compacted)
  • Deck or other solid, level surface

The foundation must be level and able to support the full weight of the sauna.

Site Access Requirements

To successfully deliver and place your sauna, the following is required:

  • Minimum access width for skid steer
  • Clear path free of obstacles (fences, wires, trees, etc.)
  • Adequate space for maneuvering equipment

If access is limited, please contact us in advance to discuss options or choose VIP set up. 

Heater Options

We offer both wood-fired and electric sauna heaters:

Wood-Fired:

  • Traditional sauna experience
  • No electrical hookup required
  • Requires proper ventilation and chimney setup

Electric:

  • Easy to use and maintain
  • Requires electrical hookup by a licensed electrician (this is not included in your delivery - this is the responsibility of the customer) 
  • Consistent and controlled heat

Electrical Requirements (Electric Models)

Electric saunas must be connected by a licensed electrician.

Requirements may vary depending on the heater model, but typically include:

  • Dedicated circuit
  • Proper voltage and breaker
  • Outdoor-rated wiring if applicable

Outdoor Use & Weather

Our saunas are built for outdoor use in Canadian climates.

To maximize lifespan:

  • Keep sauna on a proper foundation
  • Ensure proper drainage around base
  • Optional: apply exterior wood protection over time

Maintenance

To keep your sauna in top condition:

  • Clean interior benches regularly
  • Allow proper ventilation after use
  • Inspect heater and components periodically
  • Maintain exterior wood as needed
