Behind the Build: From Cedar Tree to Finished Sauna

At Timberglo Sauna Ltd., every sauna has a story behind it — and it all starts with the cedar.

One of the things that makes our saunas so special is that the process begins close to home. The cedar used in our builds comes from a family member who mills the wood himself, carefully preparing each piece before it ever becomes part of a sauna.

There’s something meaningful about knowing exactly where the wood comes from. It’s not mass-produced or shipped from across the world — it’s locally milled cedar that’s been handled with care from the very beginning.

Once the cedar is milled, it’s delivered to skilled Mennonite builders who bring each sauna to life through craftsmanship and attention to detail. Their experience working with wood shows in every build — from the clean finishes to the precision of every cut and joint.

This process is one of the biggest reasons our saunas feel different.

Every sauna is built by real hands, using real craftsmanship, with materials that have been part of the process from the very beginning. It’s a collaboration between family, local craftsmanship, and traditional woodworking values.

We believe quality starts long before construction begins. It starts with the wood itself, the people behind it, and the pride taken in every stage of the build.

In a world filled with mass production, we wanted to create something more personal — saunas that feel authentic, handcrafted, and built with intention.

From cedar tree to finished sauna, every step matters. 🔥
